Through personalized coaching, compassionate guidance, and proven strategies, I help mothers regain their rest, confidence, and joy.

I’m Missy Yandow, Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Potty Training Coach, and Founder of Slumber and Bloom. My passion is empowering mothers by transforming family sleep and potty routines from overwhelming to manageable.

With a background in education, child development, and child life psychology — and as a mother of three — I deeply understand the challenges modern moms face: isolation, exhaustion, and losing oneself in motherhood.

At Slumber and Bloom, we believe every mother and family deserves support, restful nights, and the chance to thrive. Let’s reclaim your nights and rediscover yourself—because you deserve to bloom too, mom.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What methods do you use for sleep training?

I take a personalized, evidence-based, and compassionate approach. We’ll choose a method that aligns with your parenting style and your child’s temperament. I never use a one-size-fits-all plan—and I won’t ask you to do anything that doesn’t feel right for your family.

Do you use the “cry it out” method?

Not unless you want to. While some families are comfortable with methods that involve more crying, many prefer gentler approaches. I’ll guide you through all your options and support you in choosing a method you feel good about.

What’s the difference between your sleep packages?

I offer a variety of packages—from two-week consultations to full-service, in-home support. The right fit depends on your child’s age, your goals, and how much support you’re looking for. You can compare all packages or book a free assessment call to chat through it together.

How quickly will I see results?

Every child is different, but many families start to see improvements within a few days of consistent implementation. Full sleep transformations typically take 1–2 weeks, especially with ongoing support and accountability.

Do you offer in-home sleep support?

Yes! I offer in-home services for families in Rochester, NY. I’ll be right there with you at bedtime or naptime to guide you through the process. Virtual support is also available, no matter where you live.

Is sleep training safe?

Yes, when done with care and appropriate support. Sleep training does not harm attachment or emotional development when it’s personalized, responsive, and developmentally appropriate—just like my approach.

What if I have more questions or need help after our time together ends?

Many families keep me on retainer! You can purchase monthly support, one-time follow-up calls, or text support à la carte when needed. I’m here for the long haul! Once you’re in the Slumber and Bloom family, you never need to go anywhere else!

Here’s what Rachel shared about her consultation:

“The best part about Missy is that she tailors her plan to YOU as a mother. Her methods are gentle, and she really leads with what is important to the parent while integrating her knowledge of sleep in infants and what is best for the baby. For example, as a working mom, I didn’t want my son to go to bed too early, so she put together a napping plan to afford me more time in the evenings. And she’s just so darn sweet!”
